USING THE APP
The Libro App is how we manage an exchange our collective of placemaking media. It is early days and we are collaborating with the developer to add new functionality, so user feedback is important!​

First, download the Libro App to your device.
SETTING UP YOUR ACCOUNT
Once you have downloaded the app, head to the My Profile page and fill out your info. Confirm your email and phone number so you can earn your first two gems, but more on that later.
DISCOVER NEW READS
Select the little magnifying glass in the orange circle to explore the library catalog. You may need to increase the distance range for your search to find more options.
If you are unable to borrow a book, it is either unavailable or you do not have enough gems. See PLAYING THE GEM GAME below for an explanation.
Once you confirm borrowing a book, it will show up on your Home page as Pending.
HOME
Your Home page will display which items You're reading (borrowing) and which you are Lending
ADD YOUR BOOKS
The My Library page will display all of the items you have added so far, their availability status. Select the +Add button to scan your books. Book information will auto-populate via Google Books archive.
SETTINGS
The Settings page has your Account information, Important app information (legalese), and links to share Libro and send Feedback directly to the app developer. However, we prefer you send your app feedback and suggestions to us via the form below, which we will compile and discuss with the developer on behalf of Third Shelf.
PLAYING THE GEM GAME
User accountability is designed into the app via a gem system.
You earn your first two gems by confirming the contact information of your account. These gems allow you to borrow items from other users. Each time you borrow and return an item, you earn two more gems. We will be providing a full guide to how the gems work soon.
